La Plaza de la Cruz Roja

Este es mi brújula. Me pierdo en

la ciudad todo el tiempo. Pero

cuando yo quiero ir a mi casa, yo camino hasta que yo veo esta fuente porque la fuente es atrás de mi casa.

Lastres

Ayer, mi madre y sus amigos y yo visitamos la ciudad de Lastres. Lastres es una ciudad de los pescadores. Es muy bonita y del mar. Hay un muro donde los pescadores se sientan. Nosotros hablamos con uno de ellos y él se mostra una clamar. Para que sepas-clamar huele muy mal cuando se muerte.
Nosotros condujimos en el coche a la Catedral de San Roque. Muy bonita también. Sí soy raro y quise conocer la historia de éste catedral. Se construido en 1727 ¡wow! Nosotros visitamos una cementerio también. Yo pensé que era interesante que ellos no enterran los cadáveres en el suelo, pero ellos ponen los ataúdes en una pared. También nosotros vimos el santuario de san Roque. Él es el santo patrón de la villa.
Por supuesto mi madre y su amiga les gusta tomar café. Asimos nosotros fuimos al castillo que es ahora un hotel para tomar un café. ¡Yo estoy aprendiendo pedir agua muy bien! Es bueno que el agua tiene un bien gusto porque es importante beber algo cuando mi madre bebe café.
Ayer por la noche, yo aprendí cómo pedir una limonada. ¡Era lo mejor!

Let the adventures begin

Living in Spain is going to be such an adventure. I can't believe I am actually going to be studying abroad after having talked about doing this for years. I am so excited to experience it all, but terrified at the same time. I have never traveled to a place where I couldn't speak the language, so hopefully I'll pick it up very quickly...or I may be stuck wandering around looking very lost. Actually I plan on that happening, especially traveling to Oviedo on the first day. Airplane, metro, taxi, bus, and walking in one day-it all sounds very complicated to me. I'm looking forward to meeting my Spanish family, but a little nervous that I won't be able to communicate effectively with them. I love that Oviedo has a rich history to it and can't wait to explore the city as well. At the end of this adventure I would like to be able to have real conversations in Spanish instead of what I do now which is look like a deer in the headlights.
